We are a firm of lawyers specialising in the law of succession and have been experts for over 30 years in inheritance law, laws governing inheritance tax and estate planning.
Our Law Firm
We represent our clients not only in court and with tax authorities but also in the drafting of wills and testaments and inheritance planning. We look after your interests in the whole of Germany especially in district, regional and higher regional courts as well as with tax authorities.
Our philosophy
We endeavour to provide a cost effective and prompt out-of-court settlement to legal disputes. Should, however, a satisfactory negotiated settlement not be possible, we will assert your rights in court.

Our team
All of our 4 lawyers work almost exclusively in the areas of inheritance law, estate duty and estate planning.
Johannes Hochmuth, Josef M. Kaspar, Veronika Hartmann and Dr. Andreas Miehler are all experts specialising in inheritance law.
Publications
Our book “Erbrecht” (The Law of Succession) is a result of our many years of experience in this field. The 10th edition was published in May, 2020.
In March, 2022 the publishing company Beck Verlag brought out the 8th completely new edition of our book “Testament und Erbfall” (Wills and Inheritance).
In 2016 our lawyers Johannes Hochmuth and Josef Kaspar co-wrote the guide “Testament und Erbschaft” (Wills and Inheritance) for D.A.S.
Fees
For an initial consultation a maximum fee of E190 plus VAT is charged. This includes an explanation of the legal situation and advice as to whether further action should be taken.
On request individual fee arrangements, e.g. contingency or time based, can be negotiated.
